Then, you might tweak the output parameter settings to get better video/audio quality before the DVD to Plex process. For the most part you can leave this alone; the default optimized settings should be fine as is.
Step 3: Start DVD to MKV/MP4 HD conversion.
Now you can go ahead and rip that DVD for putting on Plex. Simply hit the "Convert" button at the lower right corner of the window to begin ripping DVD movie for getting onto Plex. This will take a while, depends on the encoding settings, hardware of your PC/Mac computer and the length of the DVD file.

just use MakeMVK to rip the dvd (fast I might add) then add it to Plex, right click and hit optimize. use the original quality instead of the convert to mobile. this will change the container to mp4 and slim it down a bit, and added bonus its a supported format now so plex will not require transcode. Used to rip VOB 4.3gb profile. Never again, realize that this actually can create bad VOB and is a waist of space ntm nothing really supports this setup. The MVK is basically a 1 file replica of the disc and then only gets transcoded once via plex :)
