How to Watch Netflix Movies on Amazon Kindle Fire?

What did we do before Netflix? Go out and rent videos from Blockbuster or Hollywood Video (RIP)? But thankfully, now we have Netflix, the addictive online service inherently designed to make the video rental process ten times quicker and easier than before. However, you may have trouble with Netflix if you want to watch Netflix movies on Amazon Kindle Fire.

“I purchased a Amazon Kindle Fire and I downloaded and installed the Netflix app. I am able to launch the app and view my movie lists but when I try to play a movie, I just get the "Loading..." page indefinitely until it times out. I even tried resetting the kindle to factory defaults and reinstalling the app and still the same. What could be the problem?”

Although Netflix is available on many Kindle Fire devices, the Netflix movies can not be played on Amazon Kindle Fire because of the incompatible format issue. So, before telling you how to watch Netflix movies on Amazon Kindle Fire, I’d like to introduce Netflix movies formats firstly.

What File Formats Are Netflix Movies?

Netflix is a DVD-rental and video-streaming website where you can watch on-demand films and TV shows using a computer, a specially equipped Blu-ray player, a DVD player and/or your TV, depending on how you choose to view the content. Netflix streaming movies were originally encoded using WMV3 and WMA formats, but they now utilize Microsoft Silverlight technology and use VC-1 Advanced Profile.

Steps to Watch Netflix Movies on Amazon Kindle Fire

Step 1. Load Netflix movies

Run this software in your PC, drag and drop the Netflix movies from computer to it. Or hit the "Add Video" or "Add from folder" button to import your Netflix movies.

Step 2: Set output format

In the format list, there is output format particularly designed for Amazon Kindle Fire. Click the format bar to choose “Amazon Kindle Fire HD (*.mp4)”/“Amazon Kindle Fire (*.mp4)” under “Android” option.

Step 3: Customize output video and audio quality

Click “Settings” on the interface and you can adjust the parameters including size, bitrate, frame rate, etc. to get a high quality of output files or a smaller files size.

Tip: Keep in mind the file size and video quality is based more on bitrate than resolution which means bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss, and vice versa. You can preview the size at the below chart.

Step 4: Start to convert

Click the big round icon "Convert" in the bottom right corner on the software's interface to start the conversion. And you can find the converted Netflix movies immediately by clicking "Open".

When the conversion is completed, transfer them to Amazon Kindle Fire with an external USB cable, now just be ready to watch Netflix movies on Amazon Kindle Fire anytime without boundary.

Best Netflix movies

Can't decide what to watch on Netflix? The huge selection of movies available with just a few clicks can be overwhelming. The good news: I've scanned the new arrivals and picked up the best movies, which are worth a watch.

1. "Son of God"

"Son of God" is a follow-up to the History Channel's hit series "The Bible," focusing on the life of Jesus from his birth to his resurrection, played by Diogo Morgado.

2. "Changeling"

Angelina Jolie takes on the LAPD in the 2008 drama "Changeling," directed by Clint Eastwood, with a first-rate performance by John Malkovich. Jolie plays a woman whose life becomes a Dante-esque nightmare in 1920s Los Angeles after she loses her son and police bring the wrong boy back.

3. "The Babadook"

"The Babadook" takes horror to a new level when a widow's young son begins having nightmares about a monster in their home. The boy's mother, played by Essie Davis ("The Matrix Revolutions"), soon realizes that perhaps her son isn't lying about the monster who came from within the pages of a children's book.

4. "Lizzie Borden Took An Ax"

With Christina Ricci in the starring role as the 19th century spinster who may or may not have murdered her father and stepmother, the Lifetime Original Movie "Lizzie Borden Took An Ax" quite appropriately axes many assumptions -- including the one that Lifetime movies aren't worth watching.

5. "The Village"

Set in the 19th century, M. Night Shyamalan's 2004 thriller "The Village" is not only haunting, it packs a great cast: Bryce Dallas Howard, Joaquin Phoenix and Adrien Brody, as members of a community racked by fear of strange forest-dwelling creatures.

6. "Django Unchained"

A 2013 Oscar best picture nominee, Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" tells the story of a freed slave (Jamie Foxx) on a journey to rescue his wife. (Christoph Waltz won the Academy Award for his supporting role as a German bounty hunter.)
